TikTok and Blossom Host AI Hackathon to Support Saudi Innovation Ecosystem

TikTok and Blossom Accelerator have partnered to host an artificial intelligence hackathon in Riyadh, bringing together entrepreneurs, developers, students and researchers to develop AI-powered solutions addressing real-world challenges.

The initiative forms part of broader efforts to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s innovation ecosystem by encouraging entrepreneurship, digital skills development and practical applications of artificial intelligence.

More Than 60 AI Projects Developed

The event attracted 63 projects, with participants collaborating in teams to design and build AI-driven concepts across multiple industries. Throughout the day, teams received mentorship, technical support and practical guidance to transform ideas into minimum viable products (MVPs).

Projects were assessed on innovation, technical execution, scalability and their potential to solve real business and societal challenges.

Hands-On Learning and Industry Collaboration

The hackathon combined workshops, AI-focused training sessions and business mentoring, allowing participants to strengthen both technical and entrepreneurial skills before presenting their solutions to an expert judging panel.

Replit participated as the technical partner, supporting teams with AI-assisted software development tools to accelerate prototype creation during the competition.

Supporting Saudi Arabia’s Startup Ecosystem

The initiative was supported by several organizations, including Monsha’at, the Research, Development and Innovation Authority (RDI), the Digital Entrepreneurship Center (CODE), Mawhiba, the Saudi Electronic University and the Council of Universities Affairs.

These partnerships reflect Saudi Arabia’s continued investment in entrepreneurship, emerging technologies and talent development as part of the Kingdom’s long-term economic transformation strategy.
