The Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development (KFED), in partnership with the UAE Cyber Security Council, has launched a national accelerator program designed to support the growth of cybersecurity startups across the country.
Developed in collaboration with CyberE71, the initiative aims to help entrepreneurs build scalable cybersecurity businesses while strengthening the UAE’s position as a regional hub for digital security and innovation.
Supporting the Next Generation of Cybersecurity Companies
The program has been created to attract, develop and accelerate startups focused on cybersecurity technologies by providing structured mentorship, business development support and access to strategic partnerships.
Participants will also gain access to a network of investors, industry experts and ecosystem partners, helping startups expand their commercial opportunities and strengthen their ability to compete in both regional and international markets.
Building a Stronger Digital Economy
The accelerator forms part of a broader collaboration between the Khalifa Fund and the UAE Cyber Security Council to encourage entrepreneurship in one of the world’s fastest-growing technology sectors.
Beyond supporting individual companies, the initiative aims to strengthen the UAE’s cybersecurity ecosystem by encouraging the development of locally built technologies capable of addressing increasingly complex digital security challenges.
Cybersecurity Becomes a Strategic Growth Sector
As governments and businesses continue investing in digital transformation, demand for advanced cybersecurity solutions has accelerated worldwide. The UAE has identified cybersecurity as a strategic priority, viewing it not only as a national security requirement but also as an important driver of innovation, entrepreneurship and economic diversification.
By combining public-sector support with private-sector expertise, the new accelerator seeks to help startups transform innovative ideas into commercially viable products capable of serving both domestic and international markets.
Why It Matters
Cybersecurity is becoming one of the fastest-growing technology industries globally, driven by rising cyber threats, stricter regulations and increasing digitalization across every sector. Programs that help early-stage cybersecurity companies access funding, mentorship and strategic partnerships play an important role in building stronger national innovation ecosystems while creating technologies with global commercial potential.
