Hepsiburada has completed the planned leadership transition process first announced in December 2025, with Ender Özgün assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer as of July 1, 2026, while Hakan Karadoğan takes responsibility for leading the company’s logistics operations as CEO.
As part of the transition, Nilhan Onal Gökçetekin stepped down from her role on July 1 following the completion of a succession process designed to support continuity and align the company’s leadership structure with its next phase of growth.
Under the new structure, Ender Özgün will oversee the overall management of Hepsiburada’s e-commerce business, while Hakan Karadoğan will lead the company’s logistics operations. Both executives will report directly to Chairman Mikheil Lomtadze and the Board of Directors.
A dual leadership model for the next growth phase
The new organizational structure reflects Hepsiburada’s strategy of creating dedicated leadership focus areas for its core e-commerce platform and logistics capabilities as the company enters a new stage of expansion.
The appointments also reinforce the company’s preference for promoting experienced internal executives who have played key roles in developing the business and scaling operations.
Board highlights continuity and operational strength
Commenting on the transition, Chairman Mikheil Lomtadze thanked Nilhan Onal Gökçetekin for her contributions to the company during her tenure.
“During her leadership, the company further strengthened its financial discipline and operational infrastructure. This transition process was carefully planned and responsibly managed with continuity and Hepsiburada’s future success as the primary priorities.”
Lomtadze also emphasized that both Ender Özgün and Hakan Karadoğan are proven leaders who have developed within the organization and possess deep understanding of the company’s customers, merchants, partners and operations.
Experienced internal leaders assume new responsibilities
Ender Özgün has served as Chief Commercial Officer at Hepsiburada since May 2023 and previously held the position of Chief Marketing Officer within the company.
Before joining Hepsiburada, he held senior leadership positions at Vodafone Türkiye, where he worked on digital transformation, growth initiatives and customer segmentation strategies. Earlier in his career, he worked in marketing and brand management roles at Procter & Gamble.
Özgün holds degrees in Industrial Engineering and Civil Engineering from Boğaziçi University, as well as a master’s degree in Brand Management and Marketing Strategies from Bahçeşehir University.
Commenting on his appointment, Özgün described Hepsiburada as one of Türkiye’s leading technology and commerce platforms and said his priorities would include customers, merchants, sustainable growth and the company’s long-term success.
Logistics business gains dedicated leadership
Hakan Karadoğan has served as CEO of Hepsiburada’s logistics business since March 2024. Prior to joining the company, he held the role of Operations General Manager at Amazon Türkiye and was part of the team responsible for launching Amazon’s Turkish operations in 2018.
He also brings more than two decades of management experience spanning engineering, manufacturing, supply chain management and business operations, including leadership positions at General Electric.
Karadoğan, who graduated from Istanbul Technical University with a degree in Electrical Engineering, described logistics as one of the most critical components of the Hepsiburada customer experience and said the company would continue focusing on speed, reliability, efficiency and service quality.
Why it matters
As e-commerce businesses mature, many are increasingly separating platform management from logistics operations to create greater operational focus and improve scalability. Hepsiburada’s new leadership structure reflects this trend by establishing dedicated executive oversight for logistics while maintaining centralized management of the broader commerce platform.
The appointments also highlight the growing importance of succession planning and internal talent development among Türkiye’s leading technology companies as they transition from growth-stage organizations into more mature and operationally complex businesses.
