Mobility technology startup Vignetim has secured investment from the ITÜ ARI Teknokent Venture Capital Investment Fund (VCIF), becoming the fund’s first portfolio company and marking a significant milestone in its European growth journey.
The investment, made through the fund established by ITÜ ARI Teknokent in partnership with Maxis Venture Capital Portfolio Management, is expected to accelerate Vignetim’s expansion across Europe while strengthening its position in mobility services connecting Türkiye and European markets.
The transaction also represents an early demonstration of the fund’s strategy to support technology startups not only with capital but also with access to business networks and international growth opportunities.
Building a digital infrastructure for cross-border mobility
Founded in 2024, Vignetim provides drivers with access to digital motorway vignettes, toll payments, HGS services and travel-related products through a single platform. Alongside digital vignette sales, the company has integrated eSIM services and additional travel solutions designed to simplify cross-border journeys.
The company has developed solutions particularly targeting foreign-plated vehicles entering and leaving Türkiye, as well as international fleets requiring digital access to HGS processes and toll management services.
By consolidating highway access, payment and travel services into a centralized digital experience, Vignetim aims to simplify road travel between Türkiye and Europe for both individual drivers and fleet operators.
The startup has surpassed 500,000 users and is already generating revenue through a business model that serves consumers, corporate customers and ecosystem partners. Its B2C, B2B and API-driven infrastructure allows travel and mobility platforms to integrate Vignetim’s services directly into their own offerings.
Targeting Europe’s growing mobility economy
Millions of drivers travelling across Europe continue to navigate fragmented toll systems, country-specific motorway access requirements and multiple payment mechanisms. Vignetim aims to address this complexity by creating a single digital gateway for travel-related services and road usage products.
The company describes its long-term vision as becoming a “travel mobility super-app” capable of bringing together digital vignettes, toll systems, connectivity services and complementary travel products within one platform.
Investment to support expansion and product development
The new funding will be directed toward product development, expansion into new markets, integration of additional services, strengthening the company’s technology infrastructure and scaling its digital solutions related to toll and road access systems, including HGS.
Future priorities include additional service integrations, strategic partnerships, fleet-focused solutions and the expansion of its API-based growth model as the company seeks to establish itself among Europe’s leading travel mobility platforms.
Investors highlight scalability and international growth potential
Attila Dikbaş, General Manager of ITÜ ARI Teknokent, said Vignetim’s technology infrastructure, validated business model and international growth prospects positioned the company as a strong investment candidate.
“We see Vignetim not only as a mobility and logistics startup but also through a fintech lens because of its digital transaction infrastructure and scalable business model. Its origins within the ITÜ Çekirdek ecosystem, its success in the automotive and mobility programs we have developed together with the Automotive Exporters’ Association, and its performance at Big Bang Startup Challenge all played an important role in our investment decision.”
Dikbaş added that the fund’s objective extends beyond financing and includes connecting high-technology startups with customers, corporate partners and international networks to accelerate growth.
Özgür Temel, General Manager of Maxis Venture Capital Portfolio Management, described Vignetim as an example of a startup that has already demonstrated customer acquisition capabilities in multiple markets and embarked on an international expansion journey.
Meanwhile, Şevki Kocadağ said the investment represented a major milestone for the company and validated the demand for its solution to fragmented cross-border travel experiences between Europe and Türkiye.
Why it matters
Cross-border road mobility in Europe remains characterized by fragmented payment systems, regulatory requirements and country-specific infrastructure. Platforms capable of consolidating these services into a unified digital experience are increasingly attracting attention from both investors and mobility operators.
For the newly established ITÜ ARI Teknokent VCIF, selecting Vignetim as its first investment also signals an interest in startups operating at the intersection of mobility, fintech and travel technology, sectors that continue to benefit from increasing digitalization and international mobility trends.
