Dubai Chambers has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Wio Bank to provide banking and financing services for members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, strengthening access to financial solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the emirate.
The partnership is designed to simplify access to digital banking services while improving financing opportunities for businesses looking to expand operations, manage cash flow, and accelerate growth.
Under the agreement, members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce will be able to open business accounts through a fully digital process and access financing solutions tailored to support business development and operational needs.
Expanding Financial Access for SMEs
Small and medium-sized enterprises represent a critical pillar of Dubai’s economy and play a central role in innovation, employment generation, and economic diversification efforts under the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
The collaboration aims to reduce friction in accessing financial services by combining digital onboarding with funding solutions that can support companies through different stages of their growth journey.
The financing solutions are intended to help businesses manage working capital requirements, invest in expansion opportunities, and scale operations more efficiently.
Supporting Dubai’s Business Competitiveness
Khalid AlJarwan, Executive Vice President of Commercial and Corporate Services at Dubai Chambers, said the partnership aligns with Dubai Chambers’ broader efforts to strengthen the business ecosystem and improve access to essential services.
“Our partnership with Wio Bank is a significant step forward in our mission to provide the business community with the tools they need to succeed. By simplifying access to digital banking and financing, we are empowering SMEs to unlock their full potential and contribute to Dubai’s dynamic economy.”
“This initiative is aligned with our strategic goals to foster innovation and enhance the competitiveness of local businesses,” AlJarwan added.
Prateek Vahie, Chief Commercial Officer at Wio Bank, said the collaboration reflects the bank’s focus on reducing operational complexity for businesses.
“We built Wio Business to make banking simple for SMEs, and this partnership extends that simplicity to Dubai Chambers’ members.”
“From account opening to financing, our goal is to remove the barriers that slow businesses down, so they can focus on what matters: growing,” Vahie said.
Digital Banking Continues to Gain Momentum
The partnership reflects the growing role of digital banking platforms in supporting SMEs and startups across the UAE, particularly as businesses increasingly seek faster onboarding, simplified financial management tools, and more flexible access to capital.
For Dubai Chambers, the agreement also complements wider initiatives aimed at improving the competitiveness of the emirate’s business environment and strengthening support services available to entrepreneurs and growing companies.
Why It Matters
Access to financing remains one of the biggest challenges facing SMEs globally. By combining digital account opening with financing solutions through a single partnership, Dubai Chambers and Wio Bank are seeking to reduce barriers for businesses and support the growth ambitions of one of Dubai’s most important economic segments.
