Kariyer.net has published its latest Employer Preference analysis, providing prospective university students with data-driven insights into the degree programs and universities attracting the greatest interest from employers in Türkiye.
Available free of charge through the Kariyer.net University Guide, the analysis examines employer engagement with candidates based on their university and degree information, offering students additional perspective during the university selection period.
The study was compiled using 436 million recruitment interactions generated by 458,000 employer accounts that searched for new employees on the platform over the past 10 years.
Engineering Degrees Dominate Employment Rankings
According to the analysis, graduates from Business Administration (German), Mathematics Engineering, Informatics (German), Engineering Management, and Control Engineering secured employment more quickly than graduates from other undergraduate programs.
When universities and degree programs were evaluated together, engineering disciplines featured prominently among the highest-ranked combinations.
The leading university-program combinations included Istanbul Technical University Computer Engineering, Istanbul Technical University Industrial Engineering, Galatasaray University Computer Engineering, and Marmara University Industrial Engineering.
The findings indicate particularly strong employer demand for graduates in computer engineering, industrial engineering, business engineering, and mathematics-related engineering fields.
Large Employers Continue to Prioritize Engineering Talent
The report also examined recruitment trends among Türkiye’s Top 500 companies, where engineering disciplines again dominated.
Industrial Systems Engineering and Chemical and Process Engineering ranked among the most sought-after degrees, followed by Mineral Processing Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, and Industrial Engineering.
Business Degrees Offer Broader Career Flexibility
While engineering programs led in employer demand, business-related degrees demonstrated the widest range of career opportunities across industries and job functions.
Business Administration and Economics ranked highest for career versatility, followed by Public Finance, Business Administration (English), Public Administration, Political Science and Public Administration, International Relations, and Econometrics.
The analysis suggests graduates from these disciplines are employed across a broad spectrum of roles and sectors.

The Employer Preference analysis matches employer activity with candidates’ university and degree information, focusing exclusively on undergraduate programs.
Its Employer Preference Index measures employer interest in graduates from specific universities and academic programs against a reference score of 100. The index is designed for relative comparison within the dataset and should not be interpreted as a percentage.
