Ak Portföy has once again been included among the world’s largest asset management firms in Investment & Pensions Europe’s annual Top 500 Asset Managers ranking, rising to 393rd place in the latest edition of the global list.

The Turkish asset manager has appeared in the ranking every year since 2020 and has continued to improve its position, reflecting sustained growth in assets under management and its expanding investor base.

Continuing Its Climb in Global Asset Management Rankings

Commenting on the achievement, Ak Portföy Chief Executive Officer Mehmet Ali Ersarı said the latest ranking represents an important milestone in the company’s long-term growth strategy and international ambitions.

“We are proud to once again be recognized among the world’s largest asset management companies. This year, we rose to 393rd place in Investment & Pensions Europe’s Top 500 Asset Managers ranking,” Ersarı said.

“Our consistent rise in the rankings since 2020 is an important outcome of our long-term strategy.”

Today, Ak Portföy manages assets exceeding TRY1.5 trillion, serves more than 1.2 million investors, and offers an investment universe comprising over 200 funds.

According to Ersarı, the company continues to play a leading role in the development of investment management in Türkiye while expanding its international profile.

Technology and Innovation Reshaping Asset Management

Ersarı noted that the global asset management industry is undergoing a period of significant transformation as investor expectations evolve and demand for transparency, accessibility, and innovation increases.

“Institutions that place trust and transparency at the center of their operations, possess strong product development capabilities, provide easy access to investment solutions, and leverage technology as a core driver of value creation will be best positioned to deliver a superior investment experience,” he said.

He added that asset managers increasingly need to rethink business models and service delivery approaches to meet changing investor expectations and compete in a rapidly evolving financial landscape.

Ak Portföy is continuing to invest in digitalization, artificial intelligence-powered solutions, and sustainability-focused investment products as part of its future growth strategy.

“We are carrying our quarter-century of experience and strong human capital into the future through digitalization, AI-supported solutions, and sustainability-focused products,” Ersarı said.

“Our rise to 393rd place in the IPE Top 500 ranking is one of the clearest indicators that this approach is gaining international recognition.”

Strengthening Its International Reputation

Beyond the IPE rankings, Ak Portföy has also continued to receive international recognition for its investment management capabilities.

The company has been named Best Investment Management Company in Türkiye by World Finance for seven consecutive years, further reinforcing its position as one of the country’s leading asset managers.

The latest improvement in the IPE Top 500 rankings strengthens both Ak Portföy’s domestic market leadership and its standing within the global asset management ecosystem.

Why It Matters

As global investors increasingly look beyond traditional financial centers, the growing presence of Turkish asset managers in international rankings highlights the maturation of the country’s capital markets industry. Ak Portföy’s continued rise in the IPE Top 500 reflects not only the company’s growth but also the increasing sophistication and scale of Türkiye’s investment management sector.
