Konyalı Saat Adds Swiss Watchmaker DOXA to Its Luxury Portfolio in Türkiye

Konyalı Saat has added Swiss watchmaker DOXA to its luxury and premium portfolio, expanding its offering for watch collectors and enthusiasts in Türkiye.

Founded in 1951 and known for opening its first concept store in Istanbul’s Sirkeci district in 1961, Konyalı Saat said the partnership will combine DOXA’s more than 130 years of watchmaking heritage with its own retail, technical service, and after-sales capabilities.

DOXA Launches Türkiye Operations with Specialist Training

As the first stage of the partnership, Konyalı Saat launched a comprehensive local operation with the participation of Anastasia Zanetti, sales representative from DOXA’s Swiss headquarters.

A dedicated training program was organized for Konyalı Saat’s field teams and sales advisers, covering DOXA’s history, advanced mechanical calibers, and the technical foundations of its specialist collections.

The initiative is intended to ensure that customers receive detailed information not only about individual models, but also about the engineering philosophy and watchmaking culture behind the brand.

Product Knowledge Positioned as a Retail Advantage

Konyalı Saat Board Member Tolga Arıkan said presenting a product alone is no longer sufficient in premium watch retail, emphasizing the importance of accurately communicating a brand’s heritage and technical identity.

“While offering our customers a selection at global standards, we see it as a fundamental responsibility to convey the deep heritage and watchmaking culture of these brands accurately,” Arıkan said.

“DOXA holds a distinctive position in the industry with its innovative engineering and designs. Through the training delivered by the specialist team from Switzerland, our field staff gained a comprehensive understanding of the brand’s identity.”

Arıkan added that Konyalı Saat will combine DOXA’s heritage with its own technical service infrastructure and after-sales support model for customers in Türkiye.

From Bugatti Racing Cars to Professional Diving Watches

DOXA was founded in 1889 in Le Locle, one of Switzerland’s leading watchmaking centers. The company gained international recognition early in its history for the precision of its mechanisms and the quality of its craftsmanship, receiving awards at world exhibitions in 1905 and 1906.

Among the brand’s best-known milestones is the eight-day DOXA caliber introduced in 1907. The mechanism became a notable innovation in the automotive industry and was used as standard equipment in Bugatti racing cars of the period.

DOXA later became closely associated with professional diving watches. During underwater tests conducted in Lake Neuchâtel, the company identified bright orange as the most visible color at depth.

The resulting orange dial became one of DOXA’s most recognizable design elements and remains a central part of the brand’s identity in the global watch market.

Collections Available Across Retail and Digital Channels

DOXA’s collections for the Turkish market have begun to be listed across Konyalı Saat’s store network and online sales channels.

Customers purchasing the watches will also have access to Konyalı Saat’s specialist technical service laboratories, accredited to global standards, as well as its broader after-sales support network.

Why It Matters

The partnership strengthens Konyalı Saat’s position in Türkiye’s premium watch market while giving DOXA access to an established retail and service network. For collectors, the collaboration expands access to a historic Swiss brand whose identity combines mechanical innovation, motorsport heritage, and professional diving watch design.
